Dick Vitale named Grand Marshal

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Legendary college basketball analyst
Dick
Vitale will be this year's Grand Marshal of the
2009
IPL 500 Festival Parade.
Vitale is best known for his enthusiastic and passionate
college basketball announcing on ESPN. Vitale said he is
"absolutely flattered and really thrilled" to serve as Grand
Marshal of the 500 Festival Parade.
He will also attend the
Regions
500 Festival Snakepit Ball, and take part in some pre-race
activities at the 2009 Indianapolis 500.
The IPL 500 Festival Parade is Saturday, May 23. WISH-TV will
broadcast the parade as well as the Snakepit Ball that night at 8
p.m.
