Dickie V talks about his Indy 500 duty

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Dick Vitale has been in Indianapolis before for basketball-related events. The famous motor-mouth appears to be a natural for the Indianapolis 500.

Vitale was asked to serve as the 500 Parade Grand Marshal and was characteristically enthusiastic about the honor.

"Indianapolis knows how to throw a party," said Vitale. "You know, I was totally honored because I know there are so many celebrities a lot bigger than me. But they said, 'No, you gotta come down and have a great time.'"
