Ashley Adamson joined the 24-Hour News 8 team as a sports reporter in February of 2010.
Before moving to Indianapolis, Adamson worked as the weekend sports anchor at WSYR-TV in Syracuse, NY. While there she covered both local and national sporting events including the PGA Turning Stone Resort Championship, the NBA draft and Syracuse University’s three-time defending national championship lacrosse team.
Prior to WSYR, Adamson worked in Albany, NY where she produced and reported for Capital News 9 and Time Warner. Adamson started her broadcast career at New England Sports Network in Boston, MA where she worked on the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins broadcasts.
Originally from Denver, she graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts in English. Adamson also holds a Masters degree in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University.
An avid sports fan and athlete, Adamson won four State Track Championships in Colorado and is a member of her high school’s track hall of fame. While studying abroad in Dublin, Ireland, she played for the Irish women's rugby team helping them win the Women's European Invitational in 2003. Away from work, Ashley enjoys running, snowboarding, spending time with her family and hanging out with her dog Reese.
