Emmy Award winning reporter Daniel Miller is a weekend evening anchor for 24-Hour News 8. He joined WISH-TV in June 2005 as a general assignment reporter and spent several years as the anchor of weekend Daybreak. In 2006, he was recognized by the Indiana Broadcasters Association for Breaking News Coverage during severe weather.  Prior to working at WISH-TV, he was a weekend anchor/reporter at WBBJ-TV in Jackson, Tennessee.  

In 1998, Daniel graduated from High Point University in High Point, North Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.  He also spent a semester at Westminster College in Oxford England studying British History.

Born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, Daniel began his media career in college when he became an assignment editor/associate producer at WGHP-TV in High Point, North Carolina.

His next stop was WXLV-TV in Winston-Salem, and WFMY-TV in Greensboro, North Carolina as the evening assignment editor.  Upon moving to Indianapolis, Daniel became Director of Public Relations for Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, of which he is also a member.

After deciding to move from the public relations industry back to television, he accepted a position at WRTV in Indianapolis as the weekend assignment editor.

When he’s not on the air, Daniel’s hobbies include anything to do with the great outdoors, reading and traveling.  Longboat Key, Florida and Amsterdam are Daniel’s favorite places to vacation.  He is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
