Ken Brewer is the primary meteorologist for the weekend morning newscasts on WISH-TV's Daybreak. He joined Forecast 8 in October 2000.

Ken began his broadcast career as a meteorologist for WFOR-TV, the CBS affiliate in Miami, where he was extensively involved in forecasting and covering the active 1996 hurricane season. For nearly ten years, Ken studied, reported, forecasted, and experienced Florida's often severe and volatile weather conditions, from its northern to southern borders.

He later joined WCTV, the CBS affiliate, in Tallahassee as a meteorologist/reporter, where he worked for the next three years. His severe weather experience in northern Florida includes anchoring as Hurricane Earl made landfall in 1998, and LIVE coverage of the F-3 tornadoes that hit his station's coverage area in February 2000.

Ken holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology from Florida State University, with a double minor in mathematics and physics. He received his AMS Seal of Approval in 1998. Ken is an active member of the American Society, and since 2003, has been the Vice-President of the Central Indiana chapter of the Society.

A native of St. Louis, Ken is pleased to be back in the Midwest. He and his wife Wendy have 2 kids, Emily and Matthew, and 2 dogs, a Beagle (Truman) and a Yellow Lab (Patton).
