Liza Danver joined the 24-Hour News 8 team as general assignment reporter in September of 2007.
Before coming to 24-Hour News 8, Danver worked at WFIE-TV in Evansville, IN where she was an Anchor/Reporter. While there, she covered the brutal murder of a Kentucky social worker and got a confession out of the accused killer.
Prior to moving to the Hoosier state, Danver worked at WMBD-TV in Peoria, IL as a Reporter/Fill-In Anchor.
She began her broadcasting career at WOUB-TV in Athens, OH where she was a Reporter, Anchor and Assistant Producer.
Danver has been a proud member of the Radio and Television News Directors Association and the Society of Professional Journalists. She has won numerous journalism awards including a regional Edward R. Murrow award for uncovering sexism and discrimination in an Indiana youth football league.
Danver graduated with honors from Ohio University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism. She majored in Broadcast Journalism and minored in Political Science and French. She is a longtime Habitat for Humanity volunteer. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, playing her keyboard and scuba diving.
