Rick Dawson is currently an investigative reporter for WISH-TV's award-winning I-Team 8. He joined WISH-TV in 1987. 

While at WISH-TV, Rick has won five Emmy awards and has been recognized with numerous honors from the Indiana Associated Press, The Society of Professional Journalists, The Indiana Broadcasters Association and Investigative Reporters and Editors. 

Rick has spent time on the anchor desk on weekend mornings and evenings, and fills in for other anchors on a regular basis.  Before that he worked at WSAZ-TV in Huntington, West Virginia, as a reporter, producer and anchor. While in Huntington, Rick won his first award for investigative reporting from the West Virginia Associated Press Broadcasters Association. He also worked at WANE-TV in Fort Wayne as a reporter and morning news anchor.

Rick was raised in Kokomo, Indiana. He attended Indiana University, graduating with majors in both Broadcast Journalism and Psychology.  He is married with three children.  His interests include freelance writing, photography, and renovating an historic 1845 brick farmhouse in Rush County.
