Scott Sander anchors WISH-TV's Daybreak. He joined WISH-TV as reporter and anchor for 24-Hour News 8 at 5 and 24-Hour News 8 at 10 on MyNDY in March 2005. He was born in Mishawaka, Indiana, Scott grew up in Indianapolis and Carmel and attended the University of Missouri's School of Journalism. Scott came to WISH-TV from KCNC, a CBS affiliate in Denver, Colorado where he anchored CBS4's morning and noon newscasts since 1997.

He has showcased his journalistic talents by way of many diverse and exciting opportunities. Throughout his career, he has covered Stanley Cups and Super Bowls, co-piloted a fighter plane and rode shotgun in an Indy Car. While working in Columbia, Missouri, he interviewed President Bill Clinton. Thanks to a 15-year career in radio and television, he has been able to do all of the above and more.

Scott says his most profound experiences have come when reporting the strength and resilience of friends and neighbors as they dealt with ordeals like the Columbine tragedy, the Great Floods of '93, and the 9/11 attacks.

His work has won recognition from the Associated Press, Colorado Broadcasters' Association, and the Society of Professional Journalists. Scott has also received four Regional Emmy awards, including the 2006 award for best anchor.

Scott's wife Tammy is an award winning journalist as well. The couple has a son, Owen. Scott's favorite pastime is being a Dad, but he also plays golf, baseball, and basketball. He also reads everything he can get his hands on.
