McDonald's recognizes outstanding Indiana leaders in the community

INDIANAPOLIS (Press Release) - The McDonald’s® Black History Makers of Today and Tomorrow program recognizes eight influential Indiana leaders who demonstrate extensive community involvement and outstanding academic and professional achievement.

The McDonald’s Black History Makers of Today are established individuals making great strides in their respective professions and positively impacting their communities. The Black History Makers of Tomorrow are students who received scholarships from the Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central Indiana based on academic excellence and service to their community. Additionally, two of the honorees have
careers with McDonald’s and are making the Arches shine brighter with their positive contributions to both the community and company.

“Each year, we salute men and women whose efforts have demonstrated, strong leadership abilities in their community, and it is an honor for us to pay tribute to them for their remarkable personal and professional success,” says James Poore, local McDonald’s owner/operator. “Their work in the community is an example
of McDonald’s philosophy that ‘none of us is as good as all of us.’”

The 2012 Black History Makers of Today:

• Anita J. Harden, executive director of Lutheran Child and Family Services
• Tomika Lamb, 2010 McDonald’s Outstanding Restaurant Manager
• Eric Moore, McDonald’s owner/operator
• M. Karega Rausch, Indianapolis director of Stand for Children

The 2012 Black History Makers of Tomorrow:

• Kaysee Cushenberry, Indiana University, RMHC African American Future Achiever recipient
• James Knight II, Yale University, RMHC African American Future Achiever recipient
• Cameron Pate, Purdue University, RMHC African American Future Achiever recipient
• Breana Smith, Kentucky State University, RMHC African American Future Achiever recipient
