Today, downtown Indianapolis gets a new bookstore. It's not a chain store but, rather, a community store, offering good, used books for a good cause at 9-1-1 Mass Ave.

They call it "Indy Reads Books" because the store will raise money for an organization called "Indy Reads". The group tutors adults who struggle with reading and writing. The store even has a special area for the students and their tutors.

Indy Reads Books is still in need of donations. For now, you can help by dropping off books at any of these locations:

  • Indy Reads Office
  • WFYI
  • The Best Chocolate in Town
  • Global Gifts
  • The Athenaeum
  • Upland Brewing

The store will be open Monday-Thursday from 11am-7pm, and Friday-Saturday from 11am-9pm. They are closed Sunday.
