INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indiana Associated Press Broadcasters Association has honored WISH-TV; naming 24-Hour News 8 Indiana’s Outstanding News Operation, Best Newscast, and WISHTV.com as Best Website.
WISH-TV received a total of 17 awards this year, more than any other local station in Indiana.
“From Outstanding News Operation to Best Newscast, and Website, these awards reflect the coverage we provide central Indiana every day across all our platforms,” said Jeff White, WISH-TV president and general manager. “We’re honored the AP has recognized the efforts and continued dedication of our team.”
In addition to Outstanding News Operation, Best Newscast, and Best Website, other top honors include Best Investigative Report, Best Spot News Reporting, Best Continuous Coverage, Best Enterprise Story, Best Feature, Best Producer, and Best Community Impact for “Bully Project.”
24-Hour News 8 won a total of 17 AP awards in 14 different categories.
“The depth of these awards represents the depth of coverage 24-Hour News 8 delivers every day, no matter the time of day,” said Steve Bray, WISH-TV news director. “Whether it’s breaking news, digging deeper into a story or uncovering the truth, our commitment is to provide our viewers coverage that impacts their daily lives.”
The Associated Press Broadcasters Association awards will be presented at the IAPBA Spring Meeting and Awards Banquet held on Saturday April 13 at the Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre Hotel.
