INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A controversial movie about bullying is opening in Indianapolis and Carmel Friday night.

The documentary “Bully,” which follows bullied students, was originally given an R rating because of language and violence. Some of that language was scaled back, and the movie is now PG-13.

The film is showing Friday night at AMC Showplace Indianapolis 17, Landmark Keystone Art in Indianapolis and Regal Village Park 17 in Carmel.

Indianapolis is in the running in an online contest to bring the director of the film to the city for a town hall meeting. As of 4:30 p.m., Cleveland had collected more votes than Indianapolis. Voting ends at 5 p.m. To vote, click here .
