Indy Filmmaker Kimberly Stephens
Local filmmaker Kimberly Stephens was born and raised in Indianapolis and she is the heart and soul of the growing film company Knap P Head Productions! This hardworking producer whose documentary “MozeL” was an official selection in the 2010 Heartland Film Festival lives and breathes film.
In the current economic climate, Stephens, like many other hard working filmmakers is struggling to make their mark. She is fighting to establish a financially sound position that will allow her to create a film academy for youth so that she can share the love of films.
Stephens’s current projects include production of the heartwarming drama “The Shadow Is My Peace” and a clever documentary “The Purse” which explores the passion and the psychology associated with women and their purses. She just finished a narrative short film, “The Lesson”
Lastly, Stephens is representing Indianapolis in the 2011 Doritos Crash The Super Bowl Contest with her submission of “Air Ball”, which features the talents of local artist from the city. Persistence comes natural for this up and coming filmmaker this is her second year throwing in her hat at a chance to win the one million dollar prize that comes with this national competition.
