GREAT SCOTT!

When the band Great Scott! was born at Marian University in the fall of 2002, few (including the band members) thought it would still be around 10 years later. Some things are just meant to be. On a "night like tonight" in October, the stars will align once again and bring together former and current members of the band to reconnect with each other and its fans. Don't get "caught in the undertow" or "lose your mind in Chicago". Join the band one more time and sing along to all the hits from your college days. And maybe even make some bad decisions.

Indianapolis' own The Connect will be splitting the night with Great Scott. They are excited to share the stage with them once more. Also, their good friend Chad Mills will be opening the night with his band The Upright Willies. As you can tell, it's going to be quite epic and a teensy bit nostalgic.

About  GREAT SCOTT!

Biography

Great Scott! was born in the Fall of 2002, the collaboration of 5 individuals with a shared love for all things musical and a true appreciation for a great performance. GS! started out as a cover band playing a variety of classics and contemporary favorites, but that all changed with the debut of the first GS! originals. The first studio album was released in May of 2004 and has been played on radio stations around the Indianapolis area including z99.5, 89.3, 97.1, and 93.1. The new EP was released in November 2006 and features 4 new originals and a re-worked rendition of "walkin' away," their most popular track off of the first full length record. Mixing up the set-list with covers and originals often leaves new listeners asking which songs are actually originals.

Their original music has traces of alternative, country, pop, and rock with great harmonies, a driving bass section, and sing-a-long choruses. The band draws influence from a number of sources including Supertramp and the Eagles, to Matchbox 20 and Pearl Jam.

After over 400 shows through most of the Midwestern states (Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Ohio and Missouri) and a gig on the Warped Tour this summer in Virginia Beach, GS! has developed its sound and style to be just as comfortable in a pub with a few dozen people, a relaxed bar during an acoustic show, or a club with hundreds of screaming and dancing music lovers. Fans truly enjoy both the music and the energy coming off the stage.

Great Scott! has performed in Indianapolis on various TV shows and been live in the studio on REAL 97.1 and The Smiley Morning Show on Z99.5. They have opened for national recording acts like Virginia Coalition and Bowling for Soup and singer Brett Wiscons has shared the stage with national bands. He was invited on stage to join Pat McGee Band and sing their hit, 'Rebecca' at the Vogue Nightclub in Indianapolis.
