KEEP YOUR KIDS SAFE THIS HALLOWEEN

• Always have 1 adult escort kids either walking or riding along in the car
• Know the route older kids are taking & make them call and check in every hour
• Make sure your child’s vision is not impaired if they are wearing a mask
• Check for allergic reactions to their costumes
• If child is carrying a prop, smooth down edges in case they fall
• Carrying a Flashlight or Glowstick is a good idea
• Set a specific time kids should be home by
• Explain the difference between “Tricks” and Vandalism
• Provide kids with a hearty meal before they go out to Trick or Treat
• Never accept unwrapped candy
• Make sure to scan candy for irregularities
• Beware of food allergies
• Stress the importance of looking BOTH ways when crossing the street
• Remind your children not to talk or take candy from STRANGERS
