Dr. Janet Turkle and Aethetician Molly Lea discuss laser treatments that can reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Now is the time to schedule many laser treatments because they are best performed in the winter when one does not spend a lot of time in the sun. Some of those procedures treat skin conditions such as fine lines and wrinkling, uneven pigment, large pores, scars including acne scars, small spider veins on the face or legs, textural changes in the skin and age spots.
In most cases after laser treatment you'll want to avoid direct sun exposure until completely healed after these procedures because new skin is more susceptible to sun damage. The skin should be covered or a hat worn and a good quality sunscreen of at least SPF 30 should be used.
