Mobile CPRTour stops in Indy

WHAT IS THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION MOBILE CPR TOUR?

  • Full-size truck and trailer that folds out into a stage that will tour the country for three years
  • Kick-off event was June 5, 2012 in New York City
  • Stops prior to Indianapolis include Albany, NY; Richmond, Va.; Atlanta
  • Goal is to train 3,000+ people in each city
    • 1,000 trained at events
    • 2,000+ trained via those participants who have received a CPR Anytime Kit to take home to their family and friends
  • Certified trainers will lead an upbeat program of music, dancing and Hands-Only CPR training
  • Each training session lasts approximately 15 minutes
  • Participation is free
  • Advance registration is not necessary, however, spots can be reserved at www.heart.org/Indianapolis
  • The tour was funded by a $4.5 million grant from Indianapolis-based Wellpoint Foundation, known locally as Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation

    Kick-off event at Monument Circle
    11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Thursday, June 28
    Castleton Square Mall
    11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
     
  • Friday, June 29
    LytleCenter (220 Virginia Ave.)
    10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
    Note: This training is targeted to employees of Wellpoint and Eli Lilly
     
  • Friday, June 29
    Symphony on the Prairie (Concert ticket required)
    6-8 p.m.
