The Stutz Artists Association is teaming up with the American Heart Association to present “The HeART of Summer,” an exhibition featuring work that explores the human heart and summertime.

Participating artists include Susan Brewer, Lydia Burris, Martha Carlson, Leigh Dunnington-Jones, Wendy Franklin, Susan Hazer, Sarah Kercheval, Brian Myers, Carol L. Myers, David Sloma, Martha Vaught and Vicky White.

Artists will donate 20 percent of sales to Go Red For Women, a national movement founded by the American Heart Association to help women fight back against their No. 1 killer – heart disease.  Go Red For Women is locally sponsored by St. Vincent Health.

Carol L. Myers, an artist and former nurse who worked in a coronary care unit, has produced 50 original prints that are available for a minimum $20 donation.  All proceeds from those will benefit Go Red For Women.  Myers also will provide a hands-on activity to demonstrate the de-stressing and healing nature of art and creative work.
