Clutter- Free Kids’ Rooms... Ideas to clean up the mess and De-stress!

McKinzie Roth, Indy Style's own IndyHotMom,  shares tips from organized local moms of the IndyHotMoms.com community.

These ladies know a thing or two about organization and offer the following tips:

Remember the 3 S’s: Sort, Store and Simplify.

Involve children in the process.

Make 4 Piles and Label  *TO KEEP *TO DONATE *TO TOSS *TO STORE

Remain unemotional when parting with items.

Rotate Toys every few mos. from shelves to storage.

Use hooks and hanging organizers to get items off the floor.

Hanging pouches are great to hold books and magazines.

Use clear storage containers to house your child's belongings that stack easily.

Label everything.

Hang a bulletin board with colorful pushpins for papers, notes and artwork.

Utilize furniture that does double duty.

Set up a cleaning schedule for kids – make it fun!

Repeat the phrase: Less is more.
