Class: Game Board Sketchbook and Coptic Binding sponsored by Nickel Plate Arts
Create a sketchbook using re-purposed game boards as covers (like Monopoly, etc.) with this ancient sewn binding process.

Class: Modern Tree Painting
Using surprising media (wax, bleach, string, newspaper...) and creative applications (handmade "palette knives' & texture tools, squirt bottles...)

All supplies provided, including gallery stretched canvas.

Class: Wire Wrapped Bird Nest Ring/Pendant
Create a ring or 2 with "egg" beads you supply or use some of mine. We'll create wire birds nests with eggs and attach them to tings by wrapping silver/gold tone jewelry wire or you could make a pendant instead. All materials & tools are provided.

Wednesday July 17

Class: Crocheted Monster Hat
Students will learn how to make an ear flap hat that can be dressed up to be an alien or a creature of your imagination. Can be made in all sizes ranging from newborn to adult. You will also be provided with the pattern to take home with you. This is an intermediate level course.

Please bring to class: 1 skein #4 acrylic yarn and sizes I, J, K hooks.

Class: Fabric Rosettes
Create beautiful fabric rosettes that can be used to accent any piece you've created-Hair clips, head bands, wreathes, picture frames...the sky's the limit!

Students will learn the basic skills for rosette making and create at least 6 rosettes during class time.

Class: All That Glitters Painting Workshop with Carolmal Colours
Add a glitz finish to furniture, cabinetry, home accessories.

This 2 hour workshop will teach a "foolproof" method of Gilding, a traditional technique of applying thin layers of gold , silver, or copper metal to a painted surface. Come and learn this process with a piece to gild and take home. These fabulous products bond to virtually any surface with no sanding, stripping, or priming. All materials and instructions provided.
