Tip of the week: Take care of your landscape as it heads in to dormancy!

  1. When perennial foliage browns due to frost, prune it to the ground.
  2. Do not prune back mums, sedum, ornamental grasses and plants with seeds that you want to leave for birds, like coneflowers and black-eyed Susan’s.
  3. Stop fertilizing and pruning your shrubs and trees as they head in to dormancy.
