In 2001, The 48 Hour Film Project started as a local film challenge among friends. Since then, it has since evolved into a global phenomenon and the world’s largest filmmaking competition.

This year, The 48 Hour Film Project will tour nearly 125 cities, challenging more than 50,000 people to complete an entire film from writing and casting to filming and editing in a mere 48 hours! In all, more than 4,000 films will be created as part of the 2012 competition. The challenge will take over the streets of Indianapolis from August 3-5, 2012 and there are several ways for you to cover this extraordinary competition
