Do you love a good mystery? A good “Who Dunnit”? On Friday night, Sept. 21, the Indianapolis downtown Hyatt Regency Hotel will transform its ballroom into the W.N.A.M.I Radio studio, bringing you the best in 1920s drama and entertainment during NAMI’s “An Evening of Mystery & Music.”
Picture this: It’s 1929, and you’re in a Little Rock, Ark., speakeasy where a crime has been committed. Was it Veronica Rich, the beautiful and wealthy socialite? Perhaps it was the love of her life, Skip? Or maybe it was Freddie the Fence, the celebrated gangster; or even one of the talented flappers, Maisy or Roxy.
You decide — and at the same time have the opportunity to win a prize and support the programs and services of NAMI Indianapolis, the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
But you can only learn the truth of this dastardly crime during NAMI’s “An Evening of Mystery & Music.” Enjoy a great menu, a silent auction full of surprises, classic music of the 1920s and find inspiration from stories of countless men and women who work to improve the lives of Hoosiers living with mental illness. An Evening of Mystery & Music is hosted by Patty Spitler and Paul Poteet.
The event begins at 5:45 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, One South Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis. Tickets start at $95 per person. Reservations can be made by visiting www.namiindy.org , or by calling 317-257-7517
