• Mitsubishi i is an electric compact hatchback, with a gas mileage equivalent of 126 miles. $30,000 (more like $22,000 after federal tax credit).
• Commuter Connect van. There are over a dozen of these now, people able to park their cars in outlying areas of Indianapolis, then pile into a van, saving vehicle costs. Note I am a member of Commuter Connect, in that once you sign on you can find other people in your general area that is driving to the same general area; thus increased carpooling!
• Vespa! Scooters are a great way to move about the city. This one, photographed at Speed City here in Indy, gets 85 miles per gallon.
