On Saturday, May 5, Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis is hosting "Creating My Bold Future" Girls Inc. Day, a full day of hands-on activities that will challenge her problem solving skills, encourage teamwork, and allow her to explore innovative careers in science, math, and engineering.
Girls ages 8-14 will start the day experimenting with robotics with the Cyber Blue Robotics team from Perry Meridian High School. Volunteers will join the girls for a Lunch Bunch program to help them explore innovative careers in science, math, and engineering, and then coach groups of girls as they build robots from common office supplies.
Girls Inc is planning a summer camp which begins June 11 th. Throughout camp, girls experience a variety of programs and activities. During our last visit to Indy Style, we brought a few summer camp girls to talk about a Dress for Success program they were in.
Registration for Girls Inc. Day is just $10 per girl and includes a light breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack, as well as a Girls Inc. T-shirt. Girls Inc. Day is part of the national Girls Inc. Week during May 7-11, 2012
