    October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month— Department of Labor initiative that promotes the benefits of an inclusive and diverse workforce.

    Unemployment rate for individuals with disabilities is very high and labor force participation is low (labor force participation is only 20% for those with disabilities compared to 71% participation among general population)
