Laura Laforge, a Native American/French artist who resides at the Stutz Gallery. This is the first in the “Dinkies Universe” series and they hope it to evolve it into an animated series. It’s geared towards kids 2 to 5 yrs old and it all takes place in the magical world of the artist studio. They used Laura’s art with photographed scenes in her studio as a way to tell the story.
Laura LaForge is a self-taught contemporary artist of French and American Indian decent. Her style has been described as conceptual story telling with a modern cubism approach. Those collecting her work have examples of the many mediums that Laura uses in her work. From traditional canvas, to Plexiglas, to ceramics and combinations of other textures and materials LaForge has crafted new and unique ways of three-dimensional story telling.
She has exhibited at Saks Fifth Ave., Clowes Hall, Stutz Artist Gallery, The Nines Gallery, Hidden in the Hills Gallery and Rubinkam.
