    The Julia Carson Legacy of Love Foundation holds a food drive to benefit the Hoosier Veterans Assistance Fund and honors Indiana’s Gold Medal of Honor recipients.

    The Julia Carson Legacy of Love Foundation will be hosting a food drive on Nov. 10th from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. on the campus of IVY Tech located at 150 W. 26th Street (between Capital and N. Illinois).

    This event is being held to benefit HVAF (Hoosier Veterans Assistance Fund), and supported by IVY Tech and IUPUI. Last year, HVAF serviced 2259 vets of which 603 were family members including 491 children. We are asking for not only food donations, but also donations of personal items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, blankets, etc. The contact telephone number for the event is 317.537.7565.
