Meet the Authors of "WWII Duty, Honor, Country"

Co-authors, Duane Hodgins and Steve Hardwick along with WWII Veteran Ed Moss stop by to share their stories and discuss book signing on Feb. 17th at the Sterrett Center 8950 Otis Ave, Lawrence, IN.

WW II DUTY, HONOR, COUNTRY was written in honor of the men and women of World War II who responded to serve during America’s darkest and finest hours. It is not only historically informative, but the format and design are unique.

The earnest, personal stories of 84 American servicemen across Europe and the Pacific and in various branches shine with exemplary virtue and will be preserved in this valuable new book of America at war.  A brilliant achievement for two home-grown, dedicated American historians!

From actual “Rosie the Riveters,” to an Auschwitz Holocaust survivor, to men and women who worked behind the lines in crucial support roles, and to the front line combat veterans, they share their experiences of sacrifice, loneliness, uncertainty, fear, pain, suffering, horror, courage, bravery, and duty to country.

Many of these soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines served in nearly every major battle in Europe and the Pacific including: Pearl Harbor, the invasion of Normandy, the Battle of the Bulge, Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima and Okinawa.

Their sacrifice for our country is a debt which cannot be repaid. They represent the best of “The Greatest Generation.”
