Brian Gootee from Gray Goat Sports encourages viewers to bike to work. May is national bike to work month in honor of that Indianapolis will again host a Bike to Work Day Celebration.

INDYCOG is excited to once again host the Indianapolis Bike to Work Day Celebration as part of National Bike Month. This year the event will be moving from Monument Circle to the Indy Bike Hub YMCA located in the east wing of the historical Indianapolis City Market. As usual, we are partnering with Bicycle Indiana , IndyGo and the City of Indianapolis as well as the many sponsors listed below.

Be sure to register your commute in order to win prizes donated by some of our sponsors. One lucky commuter will win the grand prize of a New Belgium Brewing Company Cruiser , donated by NBB & Monarch Beverage ; it could be you, but you have to register to win. There's no fee to register, you don't have to ride downtown or be present to win, but you do need to get your online registration submitted by midnight on Saturday, May 19th. Why is registering your commute so important? Because we need to be able to show our elected officials (local, state and national level), as well as local businesses how many people are riding their bikes and care about issues that affect bicycling in central Indiana. Also, registering gives you the chance to win fabulous prizes!

There will be group rides starting from various locations around the area, please see below for more details. There will be bike parking available with short-term parking from 7:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. sponsored by Pedal & Park a program of Bicycle Indiana long-term bike parking located within the Indy Bike Hub YMCA (free of charge).
