Spirit and Place Veterans Day

As part Indy’s 17th annual Spirit and Place Festival, veterans will communicate stories of their military experience through art during Veterans Reclaim Armistice Day: Healing Through the Humanities on November 11. The Indianapolis community is invited to listen or share stories at this event, which also includes a panel of esteemed speakers on the subject of war trauma and art therapy.

Date: Sunday, Nov. 11

Location: Indiana War Memorial, 431 N. Meridian St.

Time: Noon – 5 p.m.

Cost: FREE

Speakers include:

  • Steve Inskeep of NPR’s Morning Edition
  • Dr. Jonathan Shay, author of Achilles in Vietnam
  • Mark Vonnegut and more
