Sue Applegate, Past President of the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of REALTORS® says there is is a lot of good inventory, prices are favorable. Home sales have picked up after a very tough 3-4 years. The last few months of 2011 and all of 2012 so far have seen an increasing number of homes sold and steady pricing. Currently average sales price in May was $164,947 – that’s up 6.6% since last May. The pace of selling is the big story. Pending sales are up 10% and closed sales are up 18%.
