Gordon Bock is the author of The Vintage House: A Guide to Successful Renovations and Additions and frequent contributor to Old-House Journal.
Bock will talk about the history of the kitchen and and how to use design and materials to achieve a period look with 21st-century functionality. A brief reception precedes the 6 p.m. lecture at Indiana Landmarks Center, 1201 Central Avenue.
