Now Andrew is ditching his passport because he’s discovered that some of the strangest foods and most colorful characters around the globe are right here at home. “Bizarre Foods America” with Andrew Zimmern celebrates the out-of-the-ordinary cuisine found across the U.S.

From traditional foods passed down by immigrants to modern dishes born and bred by American innovation, the nation is a melting pot of cultures both exotic and familiar. Whether it’s whole roasted alligator in Cajun country, shots of chicken blood at a farm outside Seattle or lamb tongue at one of Boston’s priciest restaurants, America is a treasure trove of bizarre foods.

As always, Andrew explores what the locals eat and this season he’ll get a taste of the unique foods and local traditions that can be found in our own backyard.

Who best to explore this uniquely tasty red, white and blue smorgasbord and
share it with the nation than Andrew Zimmern, the master of cultural cuisine?
