Pogue’s Run Grocer

After three years of planning, 315 members, nine new jobs in the community, countless volunteer hours, and a major renovation of a near eastside building, Pogue’s Run Grocer opens to the public on December 29, 2010 at 10 a.m. A project of the Indy Food Co-op, the full-scale grocery store will provide access to healthy food choices and education about health and nutrition to its near eastside and surrounding neighborhoods.

Pogue’s Run Grocer will be open to the public seven days a week offering a variety of products, including the following.

Local and organic produce
Antibiotic- and hormone-free meat
Grassfed, local cheese, dairy and eggs
Local and nutritious grocery items
Affordable bulk ingredients
Non-toxic and earth-friendly cleaning and personal care items
Healthful prepared deli foods
