Wick's Pies

Wick's has used this same philosophy of simple high quality ingredients for its other pies (Southern Pecan, Peanut Butter Cream, German Chocolate, Pumpkin, and Pumpkin Chess) as well as all of the other pie products that Wick's produces.

Wick's Natural Pie Crust

Kroger

Filling

1 Cup Sugar

1/4 Cup Flour

1/2 to 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

2 Cups Peaches

2 Cups Apples

1 Tablespoon Butter

 

Optional Additions to Filling:

1/4 Cup Almonds, Pecans or Walnuts

1/4 Teaspoon Ginger

1/4  Teaspoon Nutmeg

1/4 Teaspoon Allspice

1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla

 

Mix the filing in the large bowl then add the fruit to mix and cover, put mixture in then raw shell cover with the top sheet of dough and crimp

Place vent holes in top of crust may brush with water, egg whites or milk may sprinkle with raw sugar.

Place in preheated 400 degree over with sheet pan having heater with the oven. Place pie in lower half of oven on sheet pan. Bake for 15 minutes at 400 degrees. May if desire cover the crimped crust with foil to keep from browning too fast.

Reduce over temperatures to 375 degrees and back for an additional 45 minutes, when filling starts to bubble allow to bubble for app 10 minutes. Pie will be golden brown. Remove from oven place on cooling rack, let cool for 30 minutes prior to cutting.
