Truffle Oil is created when either white or black truffles, the fruiting body of an underground mushroom, are soaked in olive oil. Truffle oil is considered a finishing oil and not a cooking oil since the heat tends to spoil their flavors. This oil can be on the pricey so you should buy it in small quantities and make sure you store it in the refrigerator.
