The Mass Ave Fall Harvest of the Arts and Gallery Walk, being held October 5 at 5pm will be a celebration of the visual, performing and culinary arts.
Entertainment is nothing new to the Mass Ave Merchants who will be open late on the 5th, many featuring local artists alongside festive fall treats and more. Performers, bands and artists will be set up in front of Merchant's shops. Patrons will be able to walk to their favorite gallery along the Avenue to view special Fall Harvest Exhibits. Participating Galleries include Art Bank, Dean Johnson Gallery, Franklin Barry Gallery at The Frame Shop, and the Gallery at the Athenaeum
Celebrating the culinary arts will be over fifteen locally owned restaurants, beginning in the 300 Block and extending to the 900 Block. Sample Aesop's Table, Forty-five Degrees, R-bistro, Old Point Tavern, Front Page, Bazbeaux, McNivens, Mesh, Mass Ave Pub, Chatham Tap, Hoaglin to Go, and Yats.
The art of independent, locally owned specialty shops along Mass Ave abounds. All of the Mass Ave shops will be open during Harvest of the Arts and Gallery Walk. Silver in the City, Nuture, the YMCA, Crimson Tate, the Art Bank and Arts A Poppin, will be hosting special activities. , and Mass Ave Toys will celebrate its 6th birthday and will feature Glimmer Art Tattoos.
