Meet Louie...and Patty!

Patty Spitler is host and contributor to Pet Pals TV and petpalstv.com . She appears once a week to chat about pets on IndyStyle, too. And is a regular fixture on Daybreak weekends, as well. Patty is also the spokesperson for HearIndiana, www.hearindiana.org , and often speaks about how adults can cope with hearing loss.

She worked for 23 years at WISH-TV in Indianapolis as an anchor and entertainment reporter. But in 2004, she retired for health reasons. Patty suffers from Meniere's Disease. It is a condition that is permanent and progressive and causes not only severe hearing loss but unexpected dizziness and vertigo problems.

The 'male' of the house is her Bernese Mountain Dog. Louie is her constant companion and helps her 'hear' by alerting her to sounds around her.  Louie is 120 pounds of love!

Patty also has 4 rescue kitties, all of whom love the dog!
