Between 1955 and 1975, the Gunsmoke television series aired 635 episodes and garnered a following of millions. After leaving the CBS airwaves, the timeless series still lives on through syndication – most recently becoming a staple on the Encore Westerns channel line-up.
Many girls loved the strong and sassy character Miss Kitty played by Amanda Blake in the Gunsmoke television series.
