Woman walking on interstate killed

A woman is dead following an accident in Shelby County. The accident happened around 10:30 Saturday night along I-74 in Saint Paul. Saint Paul is located between Shelbyville and Greensburg.
Officers say a woman was heading west on I-74 when she hit a woman walking in the middle of the interstate. Police shut down traffic on the interstate so a medical helicopter could land.
Medics pronounced the 30-year-old woman dead at the scene. Investigators have not released her name.
