CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) - Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a series of car burglaries at a Carmel Hotel.

Carmel Police got a call about two men looking into vehicles at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel in the 10000 block of Meridian Street.

Officers quickly responded to the area along with Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies and set up a perimeter. The sheriff’s office K-9 teams tracked the suspects’ scent a few blocks away on New Jersey Street.

Police have identified the suspects as Christopher Gooch ( note: police have not yet released Gooch's picture) and Justin McDonough. Officers also say McDonough was bitten by one of the K-9s and was taken to Carmel St. Vincent’s Hospital where he was treated and released into police custody.

Both suspects were taken to the Hamilton County Jail where they were charged with theft and criminal mischief. McDonough was also charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.

In all, 11 vehicles were broken into at the hotel.

Police were able to return some of the stolen property to their rightful owners.
