INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - It is a big weekend for Lucas Oil Stadium. For the first time,
college basketball will be played in the home of the Colts.
"There are a lot of parts and pieces that we have to move
around and put together but our crew has done a very good job
considering almost every piece of equipment is brand new," said
Mike Fox, Stadium Manager.
Some of that brand new equipment includes the court, the hoops
and even some of the seats.
"It looks like we'll have about 26,000 seats available and we're
hoping to fill almost all of them," said Fox.
The teams playing are IU vs Gonzaga and Notre Dame vs Ohio
State. To help sell seats in a time when people are watching every
dollar, ticket prices have now been knocked down 20%.
Once the games are over Saturday night, crews have just a few
hours to knock down the court. The Colts are at home this weekend.
They will take on the Cincinnati Bengals at 1 p.m. Sunday.
It's a game you can see on WISH-TV. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.
