INDIANAPOLIS - Thousands of Colts fans sporting their blue gear are making their way through the Indianapolis International Airport Thursday and Friday as they head to Miami for the Super Bowl.
Airport officials tell 24 Hour News 8 that the airport is seeing close to 30 percent more travelers during these two days.
On Thursday more than 11,000 passengers will fly out of the airport and on Friday more than 13,000 will take to the air.
Delta, AirTran, and Southwest have all added flights to Florida for Super Bowl travelers.
Colts staff members leave the airport at 11 a.m and 1 p.m., and Mayor Greg Ballard flies out at 3 pm.
Travelers say they’ve spent anywhere from 300 dollars to 1,000 dollars on airfare.
