Deer jumps off overpass, lands on truck

HUNTINGTON COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - A semi truck driver said he witnessed five deer jump to their deaths off an I-69 overpass. He said one of them actually landed on his windshield.

The driver, Kenneth Washburn, was driving northbound on the interstate when he saw the deer jump off the overpass at U.S. 224. Washburn told police the deer made the jump one by one and the fall killed each of them.

The deer that hit Washburn's cab actually busted out the windshield before falling onto the interstate.

Washburn is okay. He just had some minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
