Putnam County, Ind. (WISH) - According to police, a small commuter plane made an emergency landing around 7:30 Friday night.
Police say the pilot, 66-year-old John Snyder of Carmel, landed the plane on the heavily traveled US 40 near the Putnam/Clay County line. They say Snyder was flying from Toledo, Ohio to Terre Haute when he ran out of power.
State Police says US 40 will be closed until they can remove the plane from the roadway. They also say the pilot of the plane is not hurt.
