INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Metro police found two people dead in a Broad Ripple home Friday afternoon.
Police said they were asked to check on a resident at 5853 Rosslyn Avenue around 4:30. Someone told police that the men had not been heard from since Wednesday.
When police entered the home they said they found the bodies of 34-year old Avery Elzy, 22-year Michael Hunt and a dead pit bull. Police also said that several other dogs were found unconfined in the house. Animal Control removed the dogs from the home.
Police haven't released any suspect information but they are looking for a vehicle that is missing from the home. The vehicle is a blue, 2001 Mercury Sable four-door that they say should have been at the house.
The vehicle had an Indiana 2009 Children's Trust license plate of KW1329. It had 22-inch custom rims and television monitors in the head rests. The vehicle also had the phrase "sexy and independent" painted on the rear of the vehicle.
According to police, the vehicle may either be headed to or already in the Fort Wayne area.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact the IMPD Homicide Branch at 317-327-3703 or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
