INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A woman is recuperating at Wishard Hospital after sustaining burns that left her in critical condition.

Detectives were called to the scene due to the severity of Mumaw’s burns. They say her boyfriend, 31-year-old Quinn Nelson, poured lighter fluid on her and set her on fire.

Police were sent to 2911 Brookside Avenue around 6 o’clock Saturday morning. When they got there they saw Rebecca Mumaw, 47, standing outside suffering from severe burns on the upper part of her body.

Nelson was arrested Saturday for attempted murder.

The case is still under investigation.
