Tom Ridge new director of Brightpoint

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A man who was formerly the Secretary of Homeland Security will head Brightpoint's board of directors. The company announced Tom Ridge is the new director.

Brightpoint's CEO says Ridge's expertise in risk management and global trade security are particularly valuable to the company.

Ridge became the first Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and, on January 24, 2003, became the first Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
