INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Kroger has issued a warning to its shoppers saying they are the
target of a scam.
A spokesperson said customers are being sent fraudulent
checks with letters telling them they won a "shoppers lottery."
Kroger said there is no such lottery.
"It's an unfortunate and obviously illegal act and we'll figure out who it is. We hope no customers are inconvenienced in the meantime." said John Elliott, public affairs manager at Kroger.
Anyone who believes they be the victim of this scam should call Kroger at 1-800-KROGERS for instructions.
